Hilary Stiefelmeyer

I’ve been an athlete all of my life, playing everything from softball, volleyball, and basketball to gymnastics and running track. As a four-year letterman, I ran the 400 hurdles and 800m at the University of Alabama, earning All-SEC honors.

After college, I dabbled in a few sports before finding CrossFit in 2008. The rest is history. I’ve competed in CrossFit almost since the start — as an individual at regionals in 2009 and 2010, went onto the Games as part of a team in 2010, and then competed on regional teams from 2011–2015.

The drive from being an athlete myself has given me a true passion for fitness coaching and helping others. And while I know the vast majority are not interested in the competitive side of the sport, everyone has personal goals that they would like to accomplish. There is nothing better than watching someone who just told me they can’t do something, do it. The excitement on their faces and sense of accomplishment is what this is all about.

Ri’Chard Davis

Growing up, I’ve always played sports (baseball and football). I played college football, but after college my workouts were no longer “required.”

Fast forward two to three years and I decided that I needed fitness back in my life!

I joined the CrossFit community in 2012 and haven’t looked back since!

It’s definitely a program that will help you achieve your goals but test your limits at the same time!

I love seeing and helping others reach their goals and be successful. Being part of the CrossFit community does just that!

Genevieve Hutchings

G started CrossFit in 2014 after beginning her fitness journey in a kettlebell studio. She’s been coaching for seven years, the last five in CrossFit. As someone who was never an athlete before CrossFit, she enjoys helping others discover how much they’re capable of with a little hard work. Her coaching strong suit is her knowledge of movement progressions and ability to create intensity for any level of athlete. G’s favorite aspect of CrossFit is the community.

I wrestled in middle school, high school, and college. After college, I coached wrestling but wanted something to challenge myself and satisfy my competitive spirit. I found that in CrossFit, and ended up getting my level 1 to coach in 2013. I also have an Olympic weightlifting certification, CrossFit mobility certification, and Carl Paoli Freestyle certification. I was an alternate on the regional team in 2017.

In January 2018, I ran my second marathon in a year and was looking to take a break from long training runs and try something new. I knew a globo gym wouldn’t be a successful route for me, so I decided to try out CrossFit. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stay out of the gym. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting or have been in the gym for years, every day brings a new opportunity to improve. I look forward to working with everyone at The Combine.

I obtained my CF-L1 in May 2019 and began fitness coaching soon afterward.

It was time to work on improving her fitness and not get winded climbing a flight of stairs. And so it began, she stepped into Caffeinated CrossFit at the ripe age of 41. Through excellent fitness coaching and the strong community, she kept showing up. Nerissa completed her CrossFit L1 in 2019 and Active Life in 2020. She passionately believes that CrossFit is for anyone at any age, daily movement/active recovery, and anything food-related.
